Government

There is always a desire for better government, especially in terms of Efficiency, Economy, Effectiveness and Equity - the four ‘Es’ of Value For Money auditing.  But citizens also require the quality of services they deserve from government at every level.

No longer should governments adopt a take-it-or-leave-it product driven approach to the services they offer their populations.  Instead governments should structure their services around the needs of individual citizens, adopting a ‘citizen-centric’ approach and using efficient modern methods to deliver tailored and customised services wherever appropriate.  Such mass customization techniques are being used by successful companies who have adopted a customer-centric approach.

Governments may have sought to achieve this in the past, but were hindered by problems such as of lack of information and the sheer scale of the enterprise.  New methods can now be applied to start addressing these challenges.

In addition to more and improved government services, better government should further facilitate universal franchise, consultation and participation. Particularly in western-style democracies, every opportunity should be provided for citizens to exercise their rights and to air their views.  Through the use of contemporary ICT and new media, governments have increasing opportunities to achieve these goals to enable not only better government but also better society.

ADFINGO has particular experience and expertise in government transformation and eDemocracy.  ADFINGO can address every aspect of government change management from identification of the requirements through to delivery of citizen-centric, customised government services.
