The outline details of the course are given below:

Subject:  Principles of Defence Procurement                        Duration: 1.5 days/12 hours

Overview:  The purpose of this course is to provide an introduction to and update on modern defence procurement.  Clear guidance is given on how Public Sector procurement differs from that in the Private Sector and how Defence Procurement represents several specialised subsets of routine practice in the Public Sector.  In particular, the special requirements of the procurement of Defence information systems and the growing need for greater interoperability and even interdependence are examined in detail.  The content referring to the UK can be replaced with that relevant to other countries as required.
